Rhianna Russell, Miss Rodeo Colorado 2014 is from the mountain town of Pine, Colorado and is the 24 year old daughter of James and Kimberly Russell. She is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree through Colorado State University’s online campus, focusing on Business Management and Biotechnology. She plans to seek a career in pharmaceutical research. Rhianna’s early interest in horses began with her participation in the 4H Traildusters where she participated in horse shows, emphasizing the western discipline. Later, she became a member of the Westernaires Drill Team. As a member she participated in roman riding, dressage, and liberty. She also held several leadership positions including drill team captain and received the prestigious E.E Wyland Interclub Award. She served as the 2006 Evergreen Rodeo Princess and the 2008 Elizabeth Stampede Queen. It was her experience as a local rodeo queen that led her to the Miss Rodeo Colorado Pageant. Rhianna has spent time volunteering for many organizations including the Colorado Trail, the Denver Rescue Mission, and the PRCA’s Industry Outreach.  Rhianna has several interests including snowboarding, boating, longboarding, embroidery, and spending time with family and friends. 

Miss Rodeo Colorado 2015

Marie Kidd, a 21 year old from Avondale, CO has been named 2015 Miss Rodeo Colorado. Her reign will begin on January 1, so she begins with the title of MRC Lady-in-Waiting. After the four day pageant held at the 92nd Greeley Stampede, Marie was the winner of the Horsemanship and Appearance Awards, as well as the Photogenic Award.  Amanda Summers of Colorado Springs was 1st runner up and the winner of the Personality and Congeniality Awards. The Spirit Award winner was Kirsten Peterson of Evergreen.  Additionally, Lizzie Snyder of Rye was presented as 2nd runner up.  Other awards presented were the 20 year Sponsor Award to the Colorado Fur Trappers and the Bob Moore Volunteer Award given to Tracy Damrell.

Marie is the daughter of Rick and Jill Kidd and is a cum laude graduate of Colorado State University-Pueblo with a degree in Athletic Training.  She has been involved with the American Quarter Horse Youth Association and 4-H where she was Ranch Horse Level 2 Senior Champion.  Marie served at the Pueblo County Fair Queen and the Arkansas Valley Fair queen.  She enjoys raising Corriente Cattle, performing in musicals, and showing horses in reining and work cow horse categories
