Out of world history and into the holidays

Peter Sloterdijk appeared in a black suit and was therefore much more formally dressed than the audience in the Collège de France, that very old university in the 5th arrondissement of Paris, where teaching still follows the free principle of antiquity: subject interconnects with subject, discourse flows into it Discourse, and of all things, the rejection of academic indoctrination resulted in one of the most brilliant universities in the Western world. So black suit, after all it's about Europe, currently the most popular country for necrologists of various stripes. Sloterdijk will give some of them a big one during his inaugural lecture “The Continent Without Characteristics – Bookmarks in the Book of Europe”.
