EU: Von der Leyen woos the Greens – Politics

On July 18 at 2 p.m., the newly elected European Parliament in Strasbourg will vote on candidate Ursula von der Leyen; the date has now been set. And it can also be considered certain that the incumbent President of the European Commission does not yet have a reliable majority. She will have a lot of work to do in the next two weeks to secure enough votes for her re-election – and thus avoid the European Union sinking into leadership chaos.
