The Junge Union is considered the backbone of the CDU election campaigns-without the use of their 90,000 members, all the events and stands would hardly be possible. Johannes Winkel has been chairman of the JU since 2022. The 33-year-old full lawyer won his Düsseldorf constituency in February and has been in the Bundestag ever since.
