Let's call it the cadaver theory of social networks: when the number of users who violate the platforms' house rules explodes, consciously and systematically, to further their own devious purposes by outsmarting, outsmarting, hijacking the algorithmic operating principles, i.e. the notorious ones pathogens start to spread and the antibodies are missing to keep the threat at bay – then the thing is dead, or at least seriously ill. Then it's better to stay away so as not to get infected.
