What is anti-Semitism? Where does it begin, where does it end? In the social sciences, it can sometimes be valuable to choose the broadest possible focus, to first work with definitions of a phenomenon that are as open as possible so as not to lose sight of anything and, when in doubt, to focus a little more rather than too little.
