A week after the presentation of the Protestant abuse study, the regional bishops are primarily concerned with the question: Who is to blame that the researchers had so few files? It should actually be about those affected.

A week ago, eight research institutes presented the large abuse study for the Protestant church and diakonia. The almost 900-page study found that the 20 Protestant regional churches and the diaconal organizations had significant deficiencies in dealing with sexual violence. The researchers interviewed more than 100 people affected, examined documents and evaluated statements from church leaders.
