Shortly before the election, US presidential candidate Donald Trump appears to be the target of another assassination attempt. t-online correspondent Bastian Brauns reports from Springfield, Ohio.
Two months after the assassination attempt on former US President Donald Trump, security forces have apparently thwarted another attempted attack on the Republican. The Federal Police FBI assumes that a man armed with an assault rifle wanted to shoot Trump while he was playing golf at his club in West Palm Beach, Florida.
The suspect is said to have then fled in a car. He was arrested a short time later on a highway near the crime scene. The man's motive is still unclear. Trump was unhurt.
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump blames US President Joe Biden and his deputy Kamala Harris for the alleged attempted attack on him.
