The thing with the heart

Bodo Kirchhoff’s writing revolves around love, or more precisely, the destructive part of it. This part receives increasing attention from book to book, especially since Kirchhoff wrote and spoke about his experiences of abuse in his novel “Twilight and Turmoil” and in his Frankfurt poetry lectures “Report on the Situation of Happiness” in his own way that torpedoed the usual discourse about it .
