Power struggle in Tbilisi – politics

It is rare to spurn a new, magnificent presidential palace that is widely visible in the capital. Salome Zurabishvili, President of Georgia, wanted to distance herself from her predecessor Mikheil Saakashvili and preferred to move to another building after her election five years ago. Their Orbeliani residence in Tbilisi is also very impressive, a 19th century white palace. These days it is a kind of headquarters for the Georgian opposition.
