Thousands of VW Group vehicles are currently stuck in US ports. According to the Financial Times (FT) there is a component in Bentley, Porsche and Audi cars that could have come from forced labor in China. The automaker confirmed Thursday that there is a “customs-related delay in the delivery of certain vehicle models.” VW cited a small part in the control unit as the reason. This is supposed to be replaced, which means that the cars will only arrive at dealers in the USA with a delay. For individual customers this could last until the end of March. Last year, the group sold around one million vehicles in North America.
