KNDS takes over Alstomwerk: Now build armored parts instead of trains – economy

You have brought a tank with you. He is the new one. And he stands out. Around it stand in the factory hall in 2127 by the rail vehicle manufacturer Alstom, half a dozen red double -decker wagons, as you know them from the regional trains in Germany. You celebrated 175 years of wagon construction here in Görlitz last autumn, with a big party and even greater pride. But now there is a change of direction: The armaments group of KNDS took over the work of Alstom with the signing of the contract this morning, and that means that armored parts will soon be built here instead of access parts.
