Olaf Scholz will be far away when the results of the state elections in Brandenburg are announced on Sunday evening. The Chancellor will be at the United Nations Future Summit in New York, and unlike usual after important elections, he will not travel to the SPD headquarters in Berlin to evaluate the results with the party presidium. Instead, he will only be connected via video link.
