Donald Trump blames Joe Biden for the latest attempted attack against him. The US President probably still had kind words for him.
US President Joe Biden spoke on the phone with the Republican presidential candidate after the alleged attempted attack on Donald Trump. In the “friendly conversation,” Biden expressed his relief that Trump was safe, the White House said. Trump thanked him for the call.
Trump also spoke positively about the conversation, after he had recently blamed Biden and his deputy Kamala Harris, who will run against him in the presidential election on November 5th, for the alleged attack attempt. Now, according to media reports, Trump said in a live chat on Platform X that Biden had called to make sure he was okay. “He couldn’t have been nicer,” Trump added. Biden also wanted to know whether he had any suggestions – and he, Trump, replied that he needed more people to protect him because 50,000 to 60,000 people were coming to events.

Trump has often sharply attacked Biden in the past, calling him “Sleepy Joe,” among other things. After the alleged assassination attempt on Trump's golf course in Florida, Biden and Harris emphasized that there should be no politically motivated violence in the USA. Two months ago, an assassination attempt was made on the 78-year-old at a Trump campaign event. He was slightly injured in the ear by a shooter.
